When I ordered this watch I was expecting to get exactly what I paid for....a $95 watch, but what I received far surpassed my expectations. 1st, the box it came in was ginormous and well protected. Seriously you could have fit three or four of these watches in that thing, and it included a suede or suede-like polishing cloth as nicely.
The watch itself was covered in a clear protective film which was conveniently removed. Upon inspection the initial issue I noticed was the face and how it has a pretty detailed raised background which adds a lot of class to the watch. An further good feature is the screw down crown which allows you to "lock" down the dials without having worrying about water receiving into the watch by means of the adjustment shafts. Invicta did not overlook the specifics here, and it shows.

Update 11/01/10: More than 3 and a half years later and I am still fairly happy with this watch. I put on the watch each and every day and have had no significant difficulties therefore far. I did break a pin which resulted in me losing one of the end links on the band (my fault), but I ordered a replacement band from Amazon which solved the issue (I wrote a separate overview for that as properly). About a month ago I noticed the second hand on the watch stopped operating but the hour and minute hands were nonetheless working just fine. I believed the watch was broken, but aside from the second hand almost everything else seemed ok so I continued to put on it. About a week or ten days later the complete watch stopped, so I replaced the battery and all is well once again (including the second hand). The subsequent time I discover the second hand quit, I'll look into it a warning that the battery is about to die on me.
I am contemplating acquiring a different watch in black, and I'm am putting Invicta at the top rated of my list due to the way this watch has performed. The only issue I would transform about this watch would be to swap out the battery for a self-winding movement, but for beneath a hundred bucks that is asking for fairly a bit.
